What is the best practice in general with a NAS rather than a Windows Server?. I could possibly look at adding the Crashplan (unsupported plugin) which also solves my other big problem of offsite backups as well. I had originally planned to have all files stored only on the Synology and each user would simply have a mapped network drive letter (U: for user) and all copies of files would be purely on the Synology but as far as I can see there is no way to rollback to previous versions of the files within Windows and it must be done within cloud station. Which would mean that there is a local copy on the PC that is synchronised to the users home folder in the cloud station sub directory. I would like the users to have the ability to roll back to previous versions of files in case of accidental changes/mistakes, but in order to do this I believe you have to use the Synology cloud station sync client. We have purchased a Synology 414 with 4xWD Red 3TB drives in a RAID5+1. Using NuGet and powerful conventions, Octopus Deploy makes it easy to automate releases of ASP.NET applications and Windows Services.I have a new build I would like some advice on the best practice and most flexible solution for the small business. Truly, check it out, the NuGet team uses them. Sponsor: Big thanks to Octopus Deploy for sponsoring the feed this week. PODCAST: Creating the Plex Software Ecosystem with Elan Feingold. ![]()
